How to join CHAD
The Center on Health, Aging, and Disability Advisory Committee encourages College of
Applied Health Sciences’ faculty, as well as interested researchers from across the campus,
to become members of the Center.
Applying is simple. If you are interested in becoming a member please send us the
following:
A letter expressing interest in becoming a Center member.
This letter should be about one page in length, and express specifically why you are
interested in Center membership. The letter should also describe how your research
(or future research interests) helps advance the Center's goals:
The Center's goals
- Promote health and wellness; healthy aging across the lifespan; healthy
communities; and optimal participation of individuals with disabilities.
- Nurture inter-disciplinary research projects that are innovative and creative.
- Facilitate translational research that directly involves the populations
impacted by the research.
Please address your letter to Dean Tanya M Gallagher, PhD., Director of the
Center on Health, Aging, and Disability.
A current version of your curriculum vitae.
Once your application materials are received, they will be reviewed by the CHAD
Advisory Committee.
